Three companies joined Eurovia in 2009.
Han Group in Romania, BA Blacktop, a Canadian company based in Vancouver, and Carl Risch Naturstein GmbH in Germany joined Eurovia in 2009.


Han Group is a company based in Romania that specializes in asphalt coatings. It has annual sales of €20 M, generated by coating-production units in Bucharest and in Cluj in the northwestern part of the country.

BA Blacktop is a Canadian company based in Vancouver in western Canada that specializes in road infrastructure and civil engineering mandates. Its five coating plants generate 450,000 tonnes annually. It also has bitumen-storage capacity of up to 25,000 tonnes. Its six affiliated regional divisions employ 215 people. BA Blacktop has annual sales of €62 M.

Since 1962, Carl Risch Naturstein GmbH has extracted sandstone from a quarry at Iserlohn-Letmathe in North Rhine-Westphalia. In addition to available reserves of 19.5 million tonnes and a high-quality quartz sandstone deposit (PSV: 60; FD: 13), this quarry is connected by various roads (A45, A46 and B236) to the Ruhr basin as a whole, from Bergisches Land to Köln. It also enjoys convenient access to waterway connections for the conveyance of materials from the port of Dortmund to the Netherlands. The company employs 18 people; in 2008, it generated sales of €6.5 M.
