ETF-Eurovia Travaux Ferroviaires makes Eurovia a leading player in rail systems
All around the world, the need for new rail infrastructure is growing, but so is the need for rail system upgrades and maintenance. In France alone, according to the government's environment round-table, 2,000 km of new high-speed lines and 1,500 km of light-rail lines must be built. In September 2008, in an effort to provide comprehensive services to this promising growth market, Eurovia acquired Vossloh Infrastructures Services and renamed it ETF- Eurovia Travaux Ferroviaires. Urban transit - the Company's traditional business line - remains a strong and dynamic sector. Eurovia is the leader in France in the light-rail market, with systems already implemented in approximately 20 cities. Railways constitute yet another traditional business line for the Company: it undertakes new rail construction (particularly high-speed lines), upgrades and maintenance of national lines and industrial sidings, and the installation and maintenance of catenary wires. In France, Eurovia is among the three leading companies in this sector.
