Ringway recruits former delinquents
A The company offers to hire them as soon as they are released. Four youths ddress its recruitment needs (due to high turnover and retirement) and help the disengaged find employment - that is what Ringway, Eurovia's subsidiary in Britain, has been doing since 2007 with its one-day training program for young delinquents serving prison sentences.were recruited in 2007 and fifteen in 2008. The program was extended to another prison and to older inmates (who work for Ringway on day-to-day basis). The program will soon be offered to women behind bars. The rate of recidivism among the participants in the program is only 7% compared with 70% among delinquents in general.
This initiative was awarded a Management Prize in the Management category.
