Synergy between road and rail projects
Contracts signed in early 2012 with Besançon, Bordeaux and Toulouse fully illustrate the complementary nature of Eurovia’s activities, which enable the Company to provide communities with a full-service offering delivered by a network of local construction divisions and based on ETF’s expertise in the development of tramway systems.
These three contracts include the construction of a tramway in Besançon, Eastern Sector, the northern extension of lines A, B and C of the tramway in Bordeaux, and the extension of Line E of the tramway in Toulouse.
Eurovia and ETF have been working on the main tramway sites in France for the past 30 years, laying down more than 500 kilometres of track, along with installing the associated overhead wires and urban planning. Currently, the teams are working on tramway sites in Brest, Dijon, Le Havre, Lyons and Paris.
ETF-Eurovia Travaux Ferroviaires is a global benchmark and player in the construction and maintenance of railway facilities in the national rail networks and urban transportation networks. Its complementary technical expertise covers the rail industry, rail engineering and catenary.
