[2/5/2018] France: renewing the link between Paris and Clichy
Tramway line (T3), running from the future Paris courthouse and the Paris criminal justice department – formerly located at the fabled address, 36 quai des Orfèvres – and a new metro station (as part of the Line 14 extension) will help make avenue de la Porte de Clichy a major thoroughfare in the French capital and contribute to extensive renewal in Clichy.
Eurovia’s redevelopment of public spaces in this district is central to its transformation, which is already well under way. Thanks to this project, avenue de la Porte de Clichy will turn into a broad Parisian boulevard that provides a direct link between Paris and Clichy. In four years, this avenue will be a 40-metre wide thoroughfare adorned with plane and maple trees that prioritises environmentally friendly modes of transport. The passageway under the ring road will also be renovated thanks to vast pedestrian spaces on either side as in most avenues in Paris and Clichy.
Urban furnishings – identical to the tram network’s equipment – will also be added to this road connecting Paris and Clichy.
