Allemagne : installation de murs anti-bruit hautement absorbants

[9/4/2019] Germany: installing highly absorbing noise-attenuation barriers

As part of a programme to noise-proof federal rail lines at Duisburg-Beeck in North Rhine-Westphalia, the TECO division (Eurovia Germany) was mandated to design and install four highly absorbing noise-attenuation barriers, along with ten engineering structures, on the Duisburg/Meiderich Nord/Hohenbudberg rail line over a distance of about 4 kilometres in the Duisburg urban community.

This 18-kilometre line is mainly used to carry freight, making it a key logistical asset for the city of Duisburg (population approximately 500,000), of which Meiderich is a district.
Work is being carried out during night shifts. The teams assigned to this project are working seven days a week and playing a critical role is complying with the timetable established for noise-proof-barrier assembly and installation. The project was launched in April 2018 and should be completed in late 2019.
