[7/16/2020] Carmacks, a subsidiary of Eurovia, will lead the project to build the southern segment of the West Calgary Ring Road in Canada

The Minister of Transportation in the province of Alberta has entrusted the construction of the southern segment of the West Calgary Ring Road to a consortium of companies consisting of VINCI Group subsidiaries (65%) and a Canadian company, Graham Construction (35%). The VINCI Group subsidiaries are Carmacks, a subsidiary of Eurovia and the lead contractor on this project, and VINCI Construction Terrassement.

The project covers a 5-kilometre roadway segment and calls for a variety of road infrastructure to be built, including four interchanges, seven flyovers, and a below-ground pedestrian crossing. Works include earthworks, drainage, asphalting, and lighting.
In 2024, the Calgary Ring Road will stretch to more than 100 kilometres in a continuous loop around the city and provide connections to roadways leading to the rest of the country. The West Calgary Ring Road will connect Highway 8 to the Trans-Canada Highway.
