Poland: two new contracts designed to protect Gdańsk’s heritage and spur economic performance

Eurovia Poland landed two key contracts in Gdańsk, the country’s sixth-largest city and its leading seaport. Since September, teams from the Gdańsk division have been active in this thousand-year-old city’s historic centre. As a result, drainage networks, pavements, and roadways in the medieval town centre in the “Pearl of the Baltic” (as Gdańsk is known) will be restored under the watchful eye of an archeologist.

Eurovia Contracting North holds ‘Play Day’ in Hull City Centre

On 3rd August the Eurovia Contracting North team working on the Hull city centre project held a ‘Play Day’ in the city centre. Organised and managed by the two Public Liaison Officers John Compton and Jonathan Wright, with support from all the site management team, the event was a great way for the locals to meet the team whilst also raising money for local charities.

France: upgrades continuing on national route 4 in the Meuse

Since August 2013, national route 4 (RN4) in the Meuse region has been undergoing progressive upgrades. In the most recent development, the Bar-le-Duc sector of Eurovia’s Champagne-Ardenne-Vitry-Saint-Dizier division has been assigned two mandates by DIR Est (the interdepartmental road authority in eastern France) as part of the project to refurbish RN4.

France: sanitation works at the Nice airport

As part of the work to extend the Nice tramway, which will serve the Nice airport starting in 2018, a Eurovia consortium composed of Eurovia’s Nice division (lead) and TP Spada is carrying out the diversion of the tramway’s wet and dry networks in front of air terminals T1 and T2, for Metropolis Nice Côte d'Azur.
