Eurovia is awarded five roadway service contracts in the United Kingdom
In recent months, Eurovia, a subsidiary of VINCI, was awarded five contracts in the United Kingdom to provide road-maintenance
services in the English counties of North Yorkshire, Shropshire, Cheshire West and Chester City, Cheshire East, and Essex. The latter
two contacts are joint ventures with the U.S.-based firm, Jacobs.

Warm mix for the A85
Between September and November 2011, in western France, teams from Eurovia Grands Travaux, on behalf of Cofiroute – Vivy Operations Centre (VINCI Autoroutes), renewed the pavement on both directions of 25 km of the A85 motorway junction – a total surface area of 550,000 sq. metres. They used 76,000 t of mix, half of it warm mix asphalt (Evotherm DAT5 from the Tempera product range). Applied at a temperature of 125°C, this variety of mix notably enables greenhouse gas emissions to be reduced.

The bucket rack available for purchase
On December 9, 2011, the first industrial version of the bucket rack was received at the Mecalac manufacturing plant in Annecy (in the Haute-Savoie region).
The bucket rack garnered a special field prize at the 2009 VINCI Innovation Awards as well as a Eurovia Sharing Innovations Award. The device was invented by Rachild Djouadi (Eurovia Dala) and allows Mecalac forklift operators to store and carry all of their buckets. This innovation, which enhances operator productivity and comfort and contributes to overall safety, is now available in the manufacturer’s catalogue.
