At the heart of the company, aggregate production enables Eurovia to meet the growing demand for a diversified materials offering throughout the country.
Aggregates are the most widely consumed raw material after water and air.
Aggregates lie at the heart of infrastructure projects such as roads, buildings and railways. In France, annual per capita consumption of aggregates stands at 7 tonnes.
Aggregates produced by Eurovia are primarily used in the building and civil engineering sector. For its own needs, Eurovia uses aggregates in asphalt mixes for pavement wearing courses and employs them in pavement sub-base courses.The company has a two-pronged approach to materials production, which enables it sustainably to meet demand:
> a local approach, geared to the needs of its customers and the concerns of its stakeholders;
> a global approach, to ensure sustainable supplies of aggregates for the company, as illustrated by the aggregates imported from Northern Europe.
