Inauguration of the New Bordeaux Stadium
The New Bordeaux Stadium (33), which was built as part of a public-private partnership between VINCI and Fayat was inaugurated on May 18. Eurovia was involved in the project through its local subsidiary Moter, which is in a 50/50 joint venture with Fayat TP (representative), performed between 2012 and 2015 all earthwork, sanitation, roadwork, landscaping and development work around the stadium. This site was a real challenge for Moter given the swampy land: teams had to carry our complex earthwork operations in the middle of winter 2012–2013.
The outdoor development work and earthwork for the lawn took place between 2014 and the beginning of 2015.
The New Bordeaux Stadium is a multifunctional next-generation structure dedicated to sports, culture and corporate events. It has a modular capacity of 42,000 seats. Inaugurated in May 2015, starting May 23, it will be the site of the first Football Club des Girondins de Bordeaux game as well as the Semi-Finals for the TOP 14, on June 5 and 6, 2015. The official UEFA Euro 2016 stadium will host five competitions in June 2016.
