Urban development

Today, over 50% of the world’s population live in cities. In South America, that figure is 84%; in North America, 82%; and in Europe, 73%. That is why urban infrastructure must be designed so as to optimize safety and comfort for users and local residents and quality of life for all.

We make roadways and public spaces safer, more pleasant, and cleaner (less polluted), but we also promote the development of urban transit, particularly light-rail systems. Eurovia creates products and processes and delivers services that address the specific characteristics and constraints of urban areas.

France, landscaping of riverbanks

Eurovia helps nature reestablish its presence on the banks of the Rhône

Three Eurovia companies, namely, the Lyon division (lead), EJL Sud-Est and Entreprise de Filippis, took part in the redevelopment of the central sections of the banks of the Rhône, begun in May 2007. Three companies from VINCI Construction France (EBM, Bourgeois and Tournaud) were also among the 17 companies mandated to redesign the banks of the river. A two-year effort was required to transform the lower port areas of the left bank, which had become car parks, into a 10-hectare green space.
