Securing the transfer containers for asphalt laying
Watch the movie of this innovation.
In western Canada, transporting asphalt mix on worksites is frequently done using trucks carrying two containers: one in a skip and one on a trailer. When the first container is empty, the second is transferred into the skip. Although it allows savings, this practice presents a risk for operatives in the event of the container becoming unhooked during delivery.
The system can be adapted to all types of trucks and skips and can be installed in two minutes without any tools. Although in theory only one arm needs to be secured, given the low cost of the system the company decided to use it on both arms when operatives have to work near a container.
