Pologne : un projet d’aménagement urbain sans précédent à Bielsko-Biała

[2/7/2019] Poland: an unprecedented urban development project in Bielsko-Biała

In January 2019, at city hall in Bielsko-Biała, a city in Silesia with a population of just over 170,000, Eurovia Poland signed a contract to expand Cieszyńska Street. This expansion scheme, which will take 20 months to complete, is designed to reduce the severe traffic congestion that residents have faced on this major thoroughfare for many years. As part of this project, the work teams will also: make repairs to 17 intersections; build 13 bus stops, bicycle paths, pavements, a bridge and underground passageway, a power supply system for traffic lights, dry and wet networks; rebuild 4 kilometres of adjacent roadways; and install noise-attenuation barriers. This project is the largest investment in the city’s history in terms of urban development.
